Thanks for your appreciation about Tigrigna prayer guide. I greet you in the Name of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ & Thanks for every information & prayers. Believe every prayer you prayed is a prayer of faith. The more the nearer the victory the more we pray so I am more pressing on to pass these prayer guide as to continue sharing the burdens of our nation Eritrea.

"Arise, shine, Eritrea for your light has come & the glory of the LORD rises upon you". Isa.60:1-2. Give thanks for Eritrea. The restoration of our nation & the body of Christ is more near than ever. Pray for every family member, society, the body of Christ & the nation as a whole. Eritrea needs prayers the spirit of communism is operating in our land. Pray for those who are in exile (the dry bones in the valley) the Holy Spirit may sweep over their life in prayer, every curse of struggle to be broken from their life & Idolatry to be rooted out from Eritrea.

Starting from colonialists up to now Eritrea encountered difficulties, our gold, bronze, telephone cable, electrical atmospheric transporter, companies, & individual's properties, among others were taken.  Pray for godly leadership in Eritrea, pray for restoration & seasonal rain not hailstone & plenty to be within the boundary. Refuse war, declare peace, demarcation of the border between Ethiopia & Eritrea, was done in the month of November, 2007 To God be the Glory. In the month of August 17, 2009 Eritrea is given a fine to pay USD14 million to Ethiopia. Pray for restoration, restitution, of everything, we had & we lost either by Ethiopia, or the colonialist's time claim every thing back to Eritrea. Remember the Eritrean whose bank account was freezed, & their properties were destroyed or handed over to individuals. They do not know to get their properties.

Pray & ask for God's mercy & bring genuine repentance at all level. "For this is what the LORD says:- he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited- he says: -  "I am the LORD, and there is no other" Isa.45:  18;

Bring thanks giving for Eritrea, for the Lord our God had created it to be inhabited by the very own people of Eritrea & never remained desolate for God had mercy upon us & he ordained our boundary set for us. Act.17: 26.

PRAYER GUIDE FOR ERITREA OCTOBER, 2009

October 1, 2009. 

Jesus was accused of keeping bad company. "While Jesus was having dinner at Mathew's house, many tax collectors & sinners came & ate with him & his disciples". (Mt. 9: 10).  We do identify with the ungodly as to influence them with the light of the gospel. Pray for the believers in Eritrea who are accused wrongly by the public & witches. Pray for their protection & the message of the gospel to be heard even through their persecution.

October 2, 2009.

Jesus was accused of Keeping Bad Company. When the Pharisees saw this they asked his disciples, ‘why does your teacher eat with tax collectors & sinners'?" (Mt.9: 11). The public around us will always try to shape our way of living.  Pray, as believers, our mission to be crystal clear to the ungodly, to the public or to the simple-minded people.

October 3, 2009

"On hearing this, Jesus said, ‘it is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick'." (Mt.9: 12). Pray for the people who are in authority to allow the gospel to be preached freely.

October 4, 2009 

"But go & learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice for I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners" (Mt.9: 13). Pray & ask God to sunder his very word to those who are in authority. Pray them to learn that Jesus desires mercy.

October 5, 2009

"To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the marketplaces & calling out to others."(Mt. 11: 16). Pray & ask God this generation to hear the Lord's voice & that salvation be pronounced to them. Let this day be offered to pray for our family members who have not acknowledged the Lord as their savior.

October 6, 2009

"We played the flute for you & you did not dance; we sang a dirge, & you did not mourn."(Mt. 11: 17). Pray & ask God that this generation would make a difference. Pray them to respond for the joy of the Lord & praise him. Pray them to respond to the cry of the people of God & be saved.

October 7, 2009

About 30 years ago a lady came to a certain place in Eritrea for she saw a vision. As she went round every village saying; "The Angel of God has told me that there will be a blood shed in this land that will swallow the horse's feet. He sent me to call for prayer." The people around looked at her as a mad woman. She called children and went around the Orthodox Church 7 times & prayed in a form of a song. This was the prayer:. "Oh Christ have mercy upon us." "For John came neither eating nor drinking & they say, ‘He has a demon'". (Mt. 11: 18)  People who do not know the Lord speak from their own mind, & they do not know what they say. Pray & ask God to reveal himself to them in a unique way.

October 8, 2009

Jesus was accused of Gluttony & Intemperance. "The Son of Man eating & drinking, & they say, ‘Here is a glutton & a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors & sinners.' But wisdom is proved right by her actions [children]"(Mt. 11: 19) Jesus & John are sent by God & wisdom would be vindicated by the lasting of their work. In our time, many had given us names, we don't deserve it, we are slandered what we have not done, & we find ourselves wrongly accused. Pray & ask God the Lord Jesus to go ahead of us in every accusation, shame, & persecution plotted against us. Pray Him alone to deliver us from all of them.
 

October 9, 2009.

Accused of Blasphemy. "Then the high priest tore his clothes & said, ‘He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Look, now you have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?' ‘He is worthy of death,' they answered" (Mt.26: 65-66). The high priest interpreted Jesus' answer in verse 64 as blasphemy. Our words are different to the unbeliever. They cannot comprehend that it is real we will be like Jesus.  Pray God to convict of their sins. Pray God to make them to accept the reality of who we are. Pray God to convict them about us especially those who doubt of our salvation in Eritrea.
 

October 10, 2009.

Jesus was accused of Insanity. "When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, ‘He is out of his mine'." (Mk.3: 21).  There are quite in number of believers who are persecuted & understood wrongly by their immediate families. Pray God to give the believers enough grace to go through this time of persecution 

October 11, 2009.

Jesus was accused of being possessed with Devils  "You are demon possessed," the crowd answered "Who is trying to kill you?" (Jn.7: 20). Every preaching, teaching, praying, & the miracle working of God in the Church of Eritrea never suit the desire of the gov't. They demanded believers to renounce their faith in Christ & many died for their faith. Actually they accused them of being ‘spirit being' & not human. Some of the gov't people have demanded their death. Pray God to bring such a conviction of sin in the leadership of the gov't, & leave the Church alone for good.

October 12 2009.

Jesus was accused of breaking the Sabbath. "Some of the Pharisees said, ‘This man in not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath.' But others asked ‘How can a sinner do such miraculous signs? So they were divided. (Jn.9: 16; Jn.10: 20). The Church in Eritrea does perform miracle working of God in His vineyard. But the demand of the gov't is too contrary to God's will. Pray for freedom of worship & the Churches to be opened without any condition.

October 13, 2009.

Accused of Treason. "From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jews kept shouting, ‘If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar."(Jn. 19: 12) What crime has the Church committed without appearing to court the leaders & other believes are imprisoned in Eritrea? Pray for God's intervention. Pray this persecution & imprisonment to come to an end.
 

October 15, 2009.

"He went on: ‘What comes out of a man is what makes him unclean'. For from within, out of men's hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, greed, malice, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, arrogance & folly. All these evils come from inside & make a man unclean." (Mk. 7: 20-23). The Eritrean gov't & the un-believers, all that is listed that defiles people have been pronounced against the leaders of the Churches & their members: This is because the Spirit in the Churches & believers is contrary to the spirit in the gov't & non-believers, otherwise there is nothing that brings accusation against them. Pray & ask God to convict their sins, deeds, & wickedness & subdue them to His Lordship.

October 16, 2009.

"Jesus looked directly at them & asked. ‘Then what is the meaning of that which is written: ‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone.' Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed." (Lk.20: 17-18). He who believes in Christ will not be stumbled because of Him. But he who doesn't believe in Him just like the Pharisees, this judgment will fall on him. After hearing this very word is where they come to persecute the Church. Pray & ask God those who do not believed in Christ to receive Him & remain in Him.

October 17, 2009.

"The teachers of the law & the chief priests looked for a way to arrest him immediately, because they knew he had spoken this parable against them. But they were afraid of the people. (Lk.20: 19). As the word of God convicts, it would have been easy to accept. But not to persecute & kill those who preached them. Just like the Pharisees the unbelievers persecuted the Church in Eritrea. Pray & ask God, all those who persecuted the Church, to be convicted of their sins & return back to their God.

October 18, 2009.

"Keeping a close watch on him, they went spies, who pretended to be honest. They hoped to catch Jesus in something he said so that they might hand him over to the power & authority of the governor. (Lk.20: 20). This very scheme has been done in Eritrea. Many of the Orthodox Church followers did spy believers of their neighbors & they made life impossible. Prohibited them prayer & praising in their houses. They handed them over t& they are imprisoned. Nowhere in today's world is practiced such an evil persecution what is done over the Church of Eritrea today. Pray & ask God this evil violent persecution that makes people to suffer without appearing to court to come to an end.

October 19, 2009.

"So the spies questioned him: "Teacher, we know that you speak & teach what is right, & that you do not show partiality but teach the way of God in accordance with the truth." (Lk.20: 21). The enemy came in a treacherous way & began to persecute the Church. Pray  & ask God to protect the Eritrean believers from those who put one the lamb's skin, inside of them are wolves & like the snake cobra..

October 20, 2009.

"Is it right for us to pay taxes to Caesar or not?" (Lk.20: 22). Is it allowed or not national service 10-12 years without salary to serve the country? How about 20 bans of bread given to a teahouse canteen for a business & paying N.6000/- Nakfa per tax to the gov't per year? Is it righteousness? Such a systematic trials has been going on against believers, until many business people went through lose & returning their permits became a problem & run away of their country. Pray & ask God to overturn the tables of the violent & the wicked people.

October 21, 2009.

"He saw through their duplicity & said to them." (Lk.20: 23)  Before persecution & imprisonment, believers have gone through different kinds of trials. The worldly people demanded & tried a lot inter-marrying with them & immorality. They never succeeded. The strength of the believers in their faith just vomited them out. Pray & ask God those Churches in other countries to be strong in their faith & to live in righteousness. Pray righteousness to the standard of the Church & the gov't in Eritrea.

October 22, 2009.

Show me a denarius. Whose portrait & inscription are on it? Caesar's they replied. He said to them. ‘Then give to Caesar what is Caesar's, & to God what is God's. (Lk.20: 24-25). Pray & ask God to convict the gov't of Eritrea & the persecutors of the Churches of what for God & what belongs to earthly gov't. (Tithe & offering, praise & worship, leading the Church doesn't belong to the gov't)

October 23, 2009.

"They were unable to trap him in what he had said there in public. & astonished by his answer, they became silent." (Lk.20: 26). Before the enemy activates his plans in action, he scheme many plans & thoughts. Pray & ask God the schemes & plans of enemy of the Eritrean believers to be thwarted & come to nothing. Pray the plans of God to stand. Isa.8: 10.

October 24, 2009

"Therefore, this is what the Lord Almighty says concerning the prophets. ‘I will make them eat bitter food & drink poisoned water, because from the prophets of {Jerusalem} Eritrea ungodliness has spread throughout the land." Jer.23: 15. We have heard & some diviners & spiritists enter into hospitals & sacrifice people. Pray & ask God to frustrate the work of the false prophets.  Pray God to make an end of their ungodliness.
 

October 25, 2009

"This is what the Lord Almighty says. ‘Do not listen to what the prophets are prophesying to you; they fill you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds not from the mouth of the Lord." (Jer.23: 16) Pray & ask God to frustrate & nullify the false hopes, & visions of the false prophets from their own minds. For they use the Name of the Lord & it has not come from the Lord. 

October 26, 2009

"They keep saying to those who despise me. ‘The Lord says: You will have peace. & to all who follow the stubbornness of their hearts they say: ‘No harm will come to you." (Jer.23: 17) Pray & ask God to bring a distinction between the despisers of God & God's people.  Pray God to frustrate the stubbornness of their heart & their false hope.

October 27, 2009

"But which of them has stood in the council of the Lord to use or to hear his word? Who has listened & heard his word?" (Jer.23: 18) Pray & ask God to confuse the languages of those who do not stand in the counsel of the Lord yet they are trying to determine the future of Eritrea. Pray against those who depend on worldliness who would come to prohibit the word of God from being preached.

October 28, 2009

"See the storm of the Lord will burst out in wrath, a whirlwind swirling down on the heads of the wicked" (Jer.23: 19). Pray & ask God for a turning back to God of the wicked.  Pray God to give them a second chance to repent that they may not be destroyed.

October 29, 2009

"The anger of the Lord will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart in days to come you will understand it clearly.  (Jer.23: 20) He who destroys before he is destroyed, the moment he stops destroying others will be destroyed. Pray & ask God that God in his wrath to remember mercy.

October 30, 2009

"I did not send these prophets. Yet they have run with their messages; I did not speak to them. Yet they have prophesied." (Jer.23: 21; Isa.8: 10) Any false prophets are not sent of God, yet they have run their message; God has not spoke to them yet they have prophesied.  Pray that every lie of the enemy, his conspiracies, & schemes be thwarted.

October 31 2009. Pray for Israel

"But if they had stood in my council, they would have proclaimed my words to my people & would have turned them from their evil ways & from their evil deeds." (Jer.23: 22) Pray & ask God only his counsels, plans, & purposes for Israel/Eritrea & the people of Eritrea to stand.  Pray God to reveal to his servants of his promises concerning Eritrea/Israel.   Pray the wicked in heart to listen to God's word & repent.

 "May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; May he ... protect you, May he send you help from his sanctuary & grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrifices & accept your burnt offerings. May he give you the desire of your heart & make all your plans succeed.  ... May the LORD grant all your requests ... O LORD... Answer us when we call!  In the Name of the LORD Jesus Christ we Pray and believe. AMEN!!! Ps.20: 1-9.
