(1 Cor. 1: 26) The Eritrean Christians who are going through persecution are living proof that salvation does not depend on anything in man. as one comes to the Lord, he must boast in the Lord. (1Cor. 1: 31). Pray & ask God to raise up a standard against the demand of the Eritrean government. They demand them to denounce their faith; they want them to give allegiance to them, which is totally contrary to their faith.

"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong." (1 Cor.1: 27) Why? Because "For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, & the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength." (v. 25) When you see the government of Eritrea, their leadership, & their law through the light of the Word of God it is totally against God's Word, & against His will. Which law in the world in the name of national service devours the labor of the youth without any wage pay for more than 10 years? How is it possible believers to be called lazy? Then who were those who have been faithful in national service & defending the nation? Pray & ask God to show them that the power of the government of Eritrea, their leadership, & their law are but human wisdom & not God's wisdom. Pray them to know that in their wisdom there is foolishness. Pray them to seek God's wisdom.

The person of the flesh & of the world in whatever achievement he may think, he will always expect from people appreciation, glory, self exaltation, & boast. But the Spiritual person will always bring glory, honor, thanksgiving, & worship to his Lord & God, because it is only God who enables one to achieve in his own way. Pray & ask God to nullify the pride of life- self-exaltation, the lust of the flesh - covetousness & greed in the government of Eritrea. Pray the leaders to teach them humility & make them to come out of that cruel attitude. (1 Jn.2: 16)

The heart determines character. "Do not eat the food of a stingy man do not crave his delicacies, for he is the kind of man who is always thinking about cost. "Eat & drink", he says to you but his heart is not with you" (Pro. 23:6-7) A stingy man is one who is eager to get rich & harbors deceit. This is the character we see in the government of Eritrea. Pray & ask God to raise up a standard against such people in the government as they are stingy in their heart & attitude, they harbor deceit & determine the downfall of the innocent.

The heart as the source of evil:  Last month the Eritrea Minister of information Ali Abdu said that; ‘there is no one who is imprisoned because of the religion/faith in Eritrea. If there are religious people arrested they must be criminals'. He blatantly denied the arrest of about 27 elderly women while they were praying who are from the Faith-mission Church. The Bible says;  "But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, & these make a man ‘unclean.' (Mt.15: 18). Pray & ask God to convict these evil thoughts of the government of Eritrea through the international community or through God's kingdom.

Pray & ask God to enable those Eritrean who are good people who bring things out of their good stored up in their hearts to win the hearts of those who are evil who bring evil things out of their evil stored up in their hearts. Heartless people are irresponsible: "Then the Lord said to Cain, ‘Where is your brother Abel?' ‘I don't know, he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?" Then the Lord said: ‘What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground." Gen. 4:  9-10). The same thing is happening in Eritrea, as it is common in the human history. Many innocent people are killed mysterious way & no one cares. Pray & ask God to forgive those who killed believers, & other innocent people without any reason. Pray the Christians to share Christ with other prisoners, & the guards. Pray the blood of Jesus Christ to speak louder than the blood of Abel, for Christ's blood washes clean the stain.

Heartless people: the Priest & the Levite: "A priest happened to be going down the same road, & when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place & saw him, passed by on the other side." (Lk. 10: 31-32). Pray & ask God to forgive the priests & the Levites of today who may have been heartless towards those who tortured, imprisoned, & treated ill by the wicked people in Eritrea.

Heartless the unjust Judge: "For sometime he refused. But finally he said to himself. ‘Even though I don't fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won't eventually wear me out with her coming' " (Lk.18: 4-5) The widow's persistence & justice were in her favor. But the unjust Judge was another Pharaoh who hardens his heart. Pray & ask God to soften the heart of President Isaias Afewerki, & the entire co-workers with him. Pray them to release the body of Christ free to worship God.

Heartless people who rebuked the blind man: "Those who led the way rebuked him & told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" (Lk.18: 39) Heartless people will continue shuttering us, but we will continue praying until something happens. Pray & God to have mercy on the land of Eritrea for it is defiled by the heartless & evil people.

Pray them to have compassionate heart & share food, clothing, & shelter to those who are going through persecution & the poor.

Hardness of hearts: "Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the desert, where your fathers tested & tried me, though they had seen what I did" (Ps.95: 8-9; Ex.17: 7; Num.20: 13). God gave us the Nation of Eritrea not those who hardened their hearts. We need to appreciate Him as our deliverer. Pray & ask God the people of Eritrea to acknowledge God for His faithfulness, His protection, & His provision. Pray God to remove the stony hard heart from the people of Eritrea & our leaders, & give them a flesh of heart.

Hardness of heart like Pharaoh: "Blessed is the man who always fears the Lord, but he who hardens his heart falls into trouble." Pro.28: 14) Meaning he who hardens his heart like Pharaoh falls into mischief. (Ex.7: 13). Pray & ask God why the President of Eritrea & his ministers harden their hearts? Is it because God wanted them to fall into trouble? Pray God to give them godly sorrow & for their salvation.

Hardness of heart drags into judgment: "So he poured out on them his burning anger, the violence of war. It enveloped them in flames yet they did not understand, it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart." (Isa.42: 25) Eritrea has tested the day of the Lord of God's wrath in the past. Eritrea will never have peace until the leadership & the people of Eritrea repent of their sins against God & his people. Pray & God in His wrath to remember mercy & spare the land from calamities to come.

God will give to each person according to what he has done." (Rom.2: 5-6) For God does not show favoritism. (v.11). Let us not give up. (Ex.8: 8).   When calamities overwhelm the nation the Lord is remembered. Pray & ask God these time our president to soften his heart & release the Church to be free in worship.

Hardness of heart: "But when President Isaias [Pharaoh] saw that there was relief, he hardened his heart & would not listen to the Church leaders [Moses & Aaron] just as the Lord had said." Isaias's [Zedekiah's] hardness of heart: "He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him take an oath in God's name. He became stiff-necked & hardened his heart & would not turn to the Lord, the God of Israel." (2 Chr. 36: 13) Zedekiah gave his back to King Nebuchadnezzar & he looked for help from the Egyptians. This is about two years before Jerusalem was destroyed in 588 B.C.  Pray & ask God to soften the neck of President Isaias & his heart. Pray God to help him to show the fruits of repentance.

(Ps.145: 13). Earthly kingdom keeps changing, but God's kingdom is everlasting. Pray & ask God Eritrea to submit its kingdom to God's kingdom, God along to establish the kingdom of Eritrea.

(Rom 11: 33) God is to be praised through the natural outpouring of man's expression. God brought in his wisdom & knowledge the great plan for the salvation of all human races. So who is Eritrea or North Korea to question God's wisdom & knowledge?
